Dano Sandusky Bass Guitar / Vocals |
Dano was raised in Upstate New York where he started singing in grade school chorus and performed his fist solo at age eight. He also pursued the Alto Sax in the school band, but being "blind as a bat" he could never see the sheet music. As a youngster, one song on the radio in particular screamed out to him. It was the intro of the Grassroots tune "Midnight Confessions". The instrument at the beginning was bass guitar and Dano got the fever for it. He had to become part of the "Grove Line".
He loves the music of the 50's & 60's and knows most of 'em by heart! He's played in a number of bands and has performed in most states east of the Mississippi. He gives it his all whenver he's onstage despite being pretty quite the rest of the time. Prior to his invitation to join Caught Red Handed , Dano had spent the last nine years with local group 2Cool that shared the stage with such artisit as The Byrds, BJ Thomas, and Billy Joel Royal. He also played keyboards for a brief stint with a local upstart coutry/rock band called South 65 who's drummer was non other than CRH's founder, John Stinnett. Dano feels honored to get the call and says he gonna "Rock Your Socks Off!"
